Urban Green Infrastructure seeks to promote nature-based solutions and green infrastructure in our cities through project delivery and research. Creative and innovative approaches with clients, stakeholders and research partners are key to this process.
Urban Green Infrastructure founder, Dara Carroll, has nearly twenty years experience as a project manager specialising in devising and delivering stakeholder consultation, environmental, research, education and arts programmes for public sector and private sector clients. For the past 12 years he has worked as a Project Manager and Associate Director at MCO PROJECTS in Dublin.
Dara has a strong interest in the role of nature-based solutions in enhancing human well-being and urban sustainability. He is interested in the role of horticulture in urban food provision, sharing and community well-being and engagement. Having originally studied Natural Science at TCD, he more recently attained a MSc in Sustainable Development (DIT) and an RHS Diploma in Horticulture. He is currently a PhD candidate at Dublin Institute of Technology where he is researching Nature-based solutions, planning and community engagement in the inner urban context.
